High Rotation Hell

High Rotation Hell

Starting today in the Dollhouse you will hear two things. The new Breaking Benjamin album  Ember and complaints about the new Breaking Benjamin album Ember. I am one of those people who will listen to things repetitively and it tends to drive those around me just a little crazy. Lucky for them I have headphones but I don’t utilise them all of the time. Anyway, from my first listen through here is one of the stand out tracks. It features a guy named Derek Hough who I was surprised to read is actually a dancer on ‘Dancing With The Stars’. He did a cover of another Breaking Benjamin song ‘Ashes of Eden’ and it impressed Ben Burnley so much he invited him to sing on the new album and I can see why. You can view that version at the end of this post and you’ll see why too.

It must have been inside my head
I’ve lost the hope that I have lived
And now, at last, it comes to pass
We sleep, we dream, we have no less

Along the path we lost our way
It’s all a game that I must play
And now the weak that fall
Return to ash, defeated after all

Fade away to the wicked world we left
And I become the dark of you
Say a prayer for the wounded heart within
As I become the dark of you

Let go, we know this kind of life
We live, we breathe, we die
They call me to the light
Forever lost inside

With every dream we find
We feed, we burn, we lie
The fall of humankind
The everlasting light

Fade away to the wicked world we left
And I become the dark of you
Say a prayer for the wounded heart within
As I become the dark of you

Let go
Save this selfish world
Let go
Save this selfish world
Let go
Save this selfish world
Let go
Save this selfish world

  1. OMG Derek Hough… sigh. If you’ve never seen him on DWTS youtube his season with Bindi Irwen. You can watch just their stuff. It’s touching, moving and inspiring. I cried a few times, though I loved the romance of the dances and Bindi’s story. if nothing else I recommend watching the Viennese waltz.

Not really my thing but since you mention Bindi Irwin I know I have seen him dance at least once since when she won it was all over the news here. He does a great job with the song though, very talented obviously.

      1. She deserved to win hands down. I don’t watch the show and it’s not really my thing either but I watched the YT videos of that season because of Bindi.
