Hello world!

Hello world!

I don’t have a usable passportand can’t afford to go globe-trotting anyway, so it’s lucky I have WordPress! I sign in and right there I have my ticket to the world.

Apparently it’s spring in Canada! I read that in a blog. Of course that’s true in a lot of other places too as evidenced by the photos of flowers blooming. The other week there was a snow storm, people were trapped for days. I did see that on the news but  reading about it from another blogger’s perspective had a lot more impact.

If I did have the right documents to travel, I’d pack a bag and take a blog tour. According to my stats I’d need to visit America, Canada, India, the UK, and Australia a bit. Then South Africa, Norway, Denmark, Sri Lanka, and the Philippines would round out my top ten.

That’s pretty mind blowing to me. That people from those countries and many more have taken the time to read my little stories, bad poetry, and occasional haiku. So while you’re sitting there reading this, I’m sitting here feeling awed and incredibly privileged by your attention. Thanks world!

By the way, if you want to put me on your itinerary, book a flight to Melbourne Australia. It’s currently a chilly 18 degrees (that’s 64 Fahrenheit), the wind is gusting and rain is falling but don’t worry about that! It’s Melbourne, by the time you get here it will have changed…

  1. Very well put. That is exactly right – all of us bloggers can travel the whole world with out moving more than our fingers. South Africa is also in Autumn but it was really hot yesterday and I think we have kissed the rain goodbye until next summer.

Yes, technology makes the world seem small in many ways doesn’t it? We still have some warm weather ahead and plenty of wet days too.

Overnight we are getting down to 8 which is around your 46 so I see where you’re coming from!

  2. The weather varies greatly from one side of Canada to the other. Here it’s dreary and rainy. The weather is funny. In the morning it can be sunny and warm, then we get snow, freezing rain, followed by rain and then sun before the clouds cover the sky for the night. The weather her has multiple personality syndrome on any given day in the spring. Spring flowers have not yet bloomed, but soon. My tulips are poking their leaves out of the ground finally.

Australia is the same, I grew up on the West coast and now live on the East code and the difference is immense. I struggle in winter even after 15 years! Perfect weather description for here too, locals will joke that if you don’t like the weather you just need to wait 5 minutes and it will change!

  3. Hehe. And you get to visit other world’s too. The internet is a great place. And scary too. ..

Oh the places I’ve ‘seen’ and the people I’ve ‘met’! What would we do without the internet and you tube? Read books? Pfft!!

      1. lol. Reading books is still a good get away, but you don’t get the same interaction. And sometimes that’s good too.

Yeah I love books. ebooks are great but nothing beats a hard one in your hand 😉

          1. books are good. it’s been a while since AJ’s actually picked up a real book – ebooks are easier to not lose the page on.

  4. Sit down, log in and take flight with friends you never knew you had.
