Before I Forget

Before I Forget

There’s a storm in the air tonight
And I’m tempted to run outside
To gaze up at the stars
While rain and ground collide

Let the torrent wash me clean
Of expectation and regret
Of bitterness and shame
From things I can’t forget

There’s lighting in the sky
And thunder rolling too
While the rain keeps falling down
And my tears are falling too

Then I’m yelling at the sky
I’m not nothing, I am me!
I’m more fierce than the storm
Stronger than you ever let me be

  1. Solid call. Storms pass, but our ferocity remains. ๐Ÿ™‚

Some are more fierce than others. And have claws.

    2. Tom, I must say I’m a bit disappointed you aren’t writing anymore. At least come stalk me once in a while so I can banter ๐Ÿ˜‰
