He says: I just want to look after you
She says: Is that the best that you can do
He says: I want to bring you the stars
She says: Maybe we should look at cars
He says: Let’s spend the day in bed
She says: Let’s go shopping instead
He says: What’s mine is yours to make your own
She says: Shush now, I’m busy on the phone
He says: My girl, she just doesn’t understand
She says: He never offered that gold band
She says: I’m listening, here take my hand
He says: How is this wrong but somehow feels so right
She says : He’s never home, he stays out half the night
She says: Looking at you, baby I love this sight
He says: You’ve begun to feel like home
She says: I’m always here alone
She says: I’m yours, I’ll never roam
He says: I just want to look after you
She says: That’s just what I want too
Very confusing. She wants him to look after her or she doesn’t?
Sorry for the confusion. Where there are the double ‘she’ lines it’s two voices, then at the end the original she has gone, the new she wants what he wants.
Okay. There is someone out there for everyone. I like it.
That’s pretty much it, glad you liked it 🙂
